East Mills Island is a collection of luxury eco properties, sleeping 18 situated on a private river island within the grounds of the Eastmills Manor Estate.

The adult-only properties on the island include 2 newly-refurbished houses, The Old Mill, sleeping 10 and Meadow Cottage, sleeping 8 guests, as well as a Games room and The Lab; a space for hire with a large commercial kitchen, suitable for gatherings, wedding receptions and culinary research, or commercial shoots.

The accommodation properties can be hired individually or together as a single resort

The location is a nature lover’s paradise, with unobstructed 360 degree views of the River Avon, situated in the New Forest, between the historic medieval town of Fordingbridge and the village of Godshill, 5 minutes drive from the National Park.

Eastmills Island is the perfect location for adult holidays, retreats or group stays of up to 18 guests. (Currently restricted due to the “Rule of 6’).  Sadly, we cannot welcome children or dogs but our other properties on the estate, Shepherds Spring Cottages, are perfectly suited for young families and those with dogs.
These eco houses are fitted with solar panels and a ground source heat pump, and have been fully kitted out with state of the art appliances. Should guests want to eat local produce, New forest food hampers or private chefs can be ordered/hired here.

All guests of Eastmills Island have exclusive access to this social space opposite the house. If Meadow Cottage and The Old Mill are rented separately, the room is shared between each house on an every-other-day rota (see photos). It offers a lovely space to play or relax with your friends, and is both a games room, with a snooker and table-football table and darts board, as well as a cinema room, with a large projector screen and bean bag seating. All you will need to enjoy wonderful movie nights is a Movie/TV streaming account i.e Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Apple TV, and to grab some popcorn.

The Lab is a large additional event space available for exclusive hire for guests of Eastmills Island. It is a 101 sq m room, with exposed metal beams and wooden floors and can be hired for multifunctional uses. There is a large stylised commercial kitchen with state of the art appliances and has a WC by the entrance. This space can be hired additional by guests of Eastmills Island.

The space is well suited culinary research, recipe/product photoshoots or cookery school events. It is also available for dry hire events, celebrations, and small wedding receptions for the 18 guests of the island. Numbers can be extended to up to 35 people, if additional guests stay in our cottages across the river.

Please note that guests attending any events must be guest of Eastmills Island and/or Shepherds Spring Cottages. Approved caterers have full use of the kitchen, there is no corkage fee and tables and chairs and crockery are included in the rental price.
