Dog Friendly Holidays

Shepherds Spring Cottages provide dog friendly accommodation in the New forest; offering a home away from home for you and your canine companion.

Shepherd Spring cottages are all dog friendly cottages, we even provide dog bowls so there’s less for you to pack!

When you’re making your booking, just add your dog to the booking form. We allow 2 dogs per cottage and ask you not to leave them alone indoors at any time. There are plenty of dog-friendly places nearby to take them, including two local pubs, The Fighting Cocks in Godshill and The George in Fordingbridge.

If for any reason you need to contact a local vet, Pilgrims Veterinary Practice is close by in Fordingbridge.

Our cottages comprise two characteristic Cottages and one spacious Maisonette that can be rented as individual units for family or group stays of 5-6 people depending the accommodation, or as one complex that can host 17 people.

House Rules for Dogs

We welcome dogs, but ask a dog fee of £30.00 per dog to be paid prior to your stay. We reserve the right to take this out of your security deposit if you fail to notify us.

In fairness to the guests that come after you, please keep dogs off the furniture and out of the bedrooms. In Cottage 1 and Cottage 2 please keep the dogs downstairs. If you allow your dogs in these areas, we will have to charge you for extra cleaning.

Please don't allow your dog to foul in the communal garden. We ask you to pick up any dog foul, bag it and bin using the outside dustbin only, not inside the cottages. Do not put lose dog waste in the dustbin.
