The Old Mill

The Old Mill is a unique 'upside-down' house, with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms (4 are en-suite), sleeping up to 10 adults.

The open planned kitchen-living room is located upstairs, and boasts dual sided views of the river and water meadows, framed perfectly by the floor to ceiling windows. The spacious sofa area by the TV flows into the dining table, which is right next to the large, fully kitted out kitchen. The double bedroom en-suite shower room is also found on this floor.

Downstairs, along the spacious corridors are the remaining bedrooms, a King en-suite, 2 Twin en-suits and 1 Twin room with an WC and shower room just outside.  All Twin rooms can be made into King rooms on requests. 

The corridor leads out to the patio garden with outdoor seating, a BBQ and a firepit.

The Lab is a large additional event space available for exclusive hire for guests of Eastmills Island.

The Lab is a 101 sq m room, with exposed metal beams and wooden floors and can be hired for multifunctional uses. Behind a screen is a stylised commercial kitchen with state of the art appliances and has a WC by the entrance. This space can be hired additional by guests of Eastmills Island.

The stylised commercial kitchen, with state of the art appliances is tastefully hidden behind screen doors, and is well suited for culinary research or recipe/product photoshoots or cookery school retreats.

The Lab is also available for dry hire events, celebrations, and small wedding receptions for the 18 guests of the island.

Numbers can be extended to up to 35 people, if additional guests stay in our cottages across the river. Please note that guests attending any events must be guest of Eastmills Island and/or Shepherds Spring Cottages. Approved caterers have full use of the kitchen, there is no corkage fee and tables and chairs and crockery are included in the rental price.
